Love Lost

Auto Week says that Mitsubishi is planning to pull out of the Detroit Auto show.

I was thinking about the impact of these economic times and how it will effect teen dating. What would you do if your BF's or GF's family has to move to another state to find a job? How connected are you to not only your date, but their family?

Long distance relationships don't have a very high survival rate. Ask someone who has been there. How do you spend time together, will the phone and text messaging be enough?

Finding the "perfect one" and then not being able to see them can be heart wrenching but can also be an eye opening experience. The key is to look in those difficult moments at who you are with them and who you are without them. Are you the same? Better or worse? Stronger or weaker?

Losing love by circumstance can be the beginning of an entirely new journey. Just remember, there are many roads to the same destination.

The Perfect Date

So you want to find the perfect date? What are you doing to look your best? Do you have everything nice and shiny on the outside but you aren't sure the inside is quite what it should be?
Here is the good news! If you are under the age of 25, modern science has discovered that chances are, your brain is still "under construction."

If you took this car off the assembly line right now, how far would you get without an engine, wheels or transmission? Keep in mind that other kids in your school are experiencing the same thing. It doesn't mean they are lemons, it just means that they might be missing some parts like compassion, wisdom or kindness. Maybe those are a bit further down the line and all it will take is time.
